Hello!
I graduated from Elmhurst College with a Bachelor of Science degree. After graduating college, I had the incredible opportunity to conduct research in HIV and cancer at local Chicago hospitals and Universities. Witnessing the incredible work of healthcare providers and the profound impact they have on patients’ lives, I was inspired to be part of something bigger.
I attended the Illinois Institute of Technology and Chicago-Kent College of Law where I received my Juris Doctor and my Master of Biology degree. While in law school, I worked for the Illinois Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity and continued that work after graduation. In 2007, I moved with my family to Nevada to work for the Nevada Legislature as a Deputy Legislative Counsel serving the Nevada Legislature. I then worked for the Nevada Attorney Generals’ Office, representing numerous State agencies and professional licensing boards. In 2015, I opened my own practice, including working as an in-house counsel for a Federal Qualified Health Center.
My experience working with HIPAA, compliance issues, Medicare and Medicaid compliance, and risk management allows me to understand that there is a delicate balance between patient privacy and necessary disclosures. Healthcare practices need a trusted legal partner who truly understands their unique concerns.
I created Platt Law Group to be that ally. My mission is to alleviate the burden from healthcare providers like you, ensuring patient privacy remains paramount, while still meeting legal obligations, so you can focus on making a difference in your patients’ lives.
I am Certified in Healthcare Compliance (CHC) from the Health Care Compliance Association. I helped write the Nevada laws surrounding compliance and have worked with the Attorney Generals’ Office representing entities that enforce regulations.
